Burwood Girls' High School is a public, comprehensive, secondary, day school for girls, located in Croydon, an inner western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1929 and operated by the New South Wales Department of Education and Training, the school has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 1,060 students from Years 7 to 12. The schools catchment area includes the suburbs of Croydon, Burwood, Croydon Park, Ashfield, Summer Hill, Haberfield, and Five Dock. Year 11 and 12 students are prepared for the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC) through study of up to 13 units of Board of Studies approved subjects. Students may also choose from a select number of Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects through TAFE NSW and additional languages through The Open High School.
